Here, you can write for example your questions, suggestions and requests. Or just say hello.
(I also use this section to post some smaller news for which I don’t want to write a whole article )

The Forum link in the navigation menu is new. It leads to Modding on the Spectrum, a forum that I started in November, 2022. I have asked myself if I should link it there in the first place since its existence. Initially, the two sites had a completely different focus regarding their subjects. I used Selene’s Shadow Realm to present my mods and projects and the main purpose of Modding on the Spectrum was to unite gamers with neurodivergent conditions. But the focus changed on both sites, better, I have changed (my mind) and it will probably not the last time that it changes (I know me too well 😀 ). Both sites have in common that they are about mods and gaming. Mental health is my main topic currently and I want to talk about it on Selene’s Shadow Realm, too, just for the sake of talking, describing my very own experiences only. So I don’t give any direct advice here (I’m already doing this on Modding on the Spectrum 😉 ).
And I removed the link to my Blender stuff from the navigation menu. Every time I saw it I was reminded of the experiences in one of my internships (no, I don’t want to go into more detail this time 😛 ).
I changed the website’s header image. You can now see my Fallout 4 character Charly on the right side instead of the Oblivion gate and the mysterious figure in front of it. I did this because I also create stuff for Fallout 4 nowadays.
A picture of the old header image:

After fixing the security gap (see this article) the site should run normal again.
All posts on the front page are now shown as excerpts for reasons of clarity.
Like the site. Schtearn commented about Blender tips? I’d love a info regarding Blender, especially 2.49b as it’s UI is confusing as heck.
For many years I only used version 2.49b to create models. Then some years ago, I switched to the newer versions and use the old version for exporting the models to Oblivion and Fallout 3/New Vegas. All my modeling stuff happens now in Blender version 2.78 (or higher). It took me some time to get used to the new UI but the possibilities of the new versions excel the ones of the old version. “Blender 3D: Noob to pro” is a good place to start:

Great site.
Look forward to seeing more of the modelling, and, back at the Assimilation Lab, a healthy dose of Blender Tips & Tricks. 🙂
P.S. Love this font as well!
Thank you 🙂
I hope you all are fine.
