Ghostly Masonry

Last updated on September 18th, 2023 at 08:50 pm

I put all posts into a masonry and gave the masonry a ghostly touch via modifying the box shadow with CSS.

Here’s my code snippet:

CSS Code

.bdp-post-grid-content {
box-shadow:
inset 0px 0em 2em 4px rgb(134 255 231 / 10%), 0px 3px 2em 1px rgb(77 146 107 / 33%);}

The plugin that inserts the masonry into the static WordPress page using a shortcode is called News & Blog Designer Pack. It also comes with a “Load More Posts” button as well so you don’t need click through the nearly endless … Read more

Endorsements and me

Last updated on May 19th, 2023 at 04:00 pm

When you are on Nexus Mods, you can like a mod or a screenshot by clicking on the “Endorse” button. If you ask me as a mod/screenshot author, it’s a curse and blessing at the same time – it can boost my ego, and decrease it when I don’t get any or only a few endorsements. I don’t know how many authors made the “mistake” to connect their self-worth with the amount of endorsements (or likes, thumb-ups, …) they receive. It will be a long journey until I can disconnect my … Read more

Patience

Last updated on May 20th, 2023 at 01:31 am

On November 17, 2022, I believed that my forum “Modding on the Spectrum” was the next big thing – 42 users were online at the same time. I did my best to attract new users by promoting the Spectrum in other forums.

What I actually did is working against my true nature. I rather stay in the background and not in the center of attention. This applies to many areas of my life including mod releases. Yes, I did and do release mods but the main reason is that I simply … Read more

Fear or the inner critic

Last updated on May 20th, 2023 at 02:47 am

A mental health topic on Selene’s Shadow Realm (again)? Did you post on the wrong site? This blog is about your mods and projects. Why don’t you post it on Modding on the Spectrum where these subjects belong?….

What do you think after reading those lines? That I’m not sane? Sure, I have some more or less serious problems. And one of them is my inner critic. The first paragraph of the article shows you how his monologue can look like.

Before I go into more detail about my inner … Read more

The #AskSelene31Something advice series

Last updated on May 20th, 2023 at 02:48 am

The hashtag stands for my deepest wish to help people with matters concerning mental health and the life with neurodivergent/neurodiverse conditions – be it for example Autism or ADHD/ADD (see the glossary on Modding on the Spectrum for more info). No, I’m not a psychologist. I’m just an “old” girl that experienced things in her life that nobody shouldn’t have. If you want to know my story, you can find a summary here. I developed strategies to cope. Some did work, some did not. Since I got my first diagnosis … Read more

A place to chill and relax while talking about mods and gaming. It offers discussion hubs for a wide variety of moddable games like The Elder Scrolls, Fallout or The Witcher series and many more.

The cherry on top is the Neurodiversity hub where members can ask for advice regarding their personal problems or problems of closed ones.

The platform Modding on the Spectrum welcomes everyone – regardless if you identify as neurodivergent or not.

At the dawn of Nexus Mods Collections

Last updated on August 17th, 2023 at 09:12 pm

To start off with, I generally have nothing against the upcoming collections feature which can be quite handy when you make a fresh start. That the Nexus is holding a gun to authors’ heads is the only thing that bothers me. If the mod authors don’t comply with the recent changes of Nexus rules they have a grace period to remove all their files using a certain form. After 5 August, it’s no longer possible for mod authors to delete the mods by themselves and the files are archived instead. According … Read more

F4: Sam’s Synth Evolution

Last updated on August 17th, 2023 at 09:14 pm

My character Sam was a human once. As he advanced in the Institute quest line, his longing to become a Synth grew. One day, his wish came true.

It all began with “iSynth 2.5 – Android Customization”. But I wasn’t satisfied with his look, still too much flesh.

So I modified the textures of the mod and it was not the last time I modified them

I also played a lot with the body meshes of iSynth and … Read more

F4: Sam’s Adventures – Brotherhood of Steel and Institute

Last updated on August 17th, 2023 at 03:31 am

Warning: This article contains major spoilers on the Brotherhood of Steel, Institute and main quest lines.

Before Sam decided to join the Brotherhood of Steel he made a visit to Vault 114 searching for a certain detective. (this is the first image which I made on the new computer)

Enjoying the architecture, bizarre discoveries and taking a break

Finally, he found the Brotherhood of Steel, helped them to solve some problems and they took him to … Read more

F4: Sam’s Adventures – the beginning

Last updated on August 17th, 2023 at 03:32 am

Accorcing to the article “Entering the realm of Fallout 4” I tell you the story of my character Sam. He lived a peaceful life together with his wife Nora and his son Shaun.

Notice: some images have lower resolutions because I needed to degrade the resolution from time to time when the performance was very bad on my old PC (mostly in towns). Gladly, this changed with the new computer.

Then the apocalypse came and nothing was where it used to be.
