F4: Sam’s Synth Evolution

Last updated on January 16th, 2023 at 05:56 pm

My character Sam was a human once. As he advanced in the Institute quest line, his longing to become a Synth grew. One day, his wish came true.

It all began with “iSynth 2.5 – Android Customization”. But I wasn’t satisfied with his look, still too much flesh.

So I modified the textures of the mod and it was not the last time I modified them

I also played a lot with the body meshes of iSynth and … Read more

Seamless Vanilla body, head and gear (WIP – cancelled; resource available)

Last updated on June 2nd, 2021 at 11:02 pm

I want to give the default Oblivion body and head a second life, freeing them from their ugly existence. My plan is to rework all head and body textures and meshes of all races and the default equipment eliminating the dreaded neck seam. This project is a spin-off from my long-term project Abyss Demon. The final mod will be needed for the seamless Vanilla version of the race.

You can find more recent information on the project’s progress in the user images section of my Nexusmods profile

Seamless Abyss Demon

Last updated on December 23rd, 2019 at 10:18 pm

Some days ago, I have resumed work on the demonic race and quest mod. The body and head textures and meshes have been untouched for a very long time. Then, recently, I learned of a method to mend the seam between the head and the body: the Seam Mender script which is included in Room207’s Blender Portable Version. It took me several attempts to find out the right settings and tweaking the head and body textures to match the adjusted meshes was a lot trial and error. The seamless … Read more

F4: Sam’s Adventures – Brotherhood of Steel and Institute

Last updated on June 15th, 2022 at 01:15 am

Warning: This article contains major spoilers on the Brotherhood of Steel, Institute and main quest lines.

Before Sam decided to join the Brotherhood of Steel he made a visit to Vault 114 searching for a certain detective. (this is the first image which I made on the new computer)

Enjoying the architecture, bizarre discoveries and taking a break

Finally, he found the Brotherhood of Steel, helped them to solve some problems and they took him to … Read more

F4: Sam’s Adventures – the beginning

Accorcing to the article “Entering the realm of Fallout 4” I tell you the story of my character Sam. He lived a peaceful life together with his wife Nora and his son Shaun.

Notice: some images have lower resolutions because I needed to degrade the resolution from time to time when the performance was very bad on my old PC (mostly in towns). Gladly, this changed with the new computer.

Then the apocalypse came and nothing was where it used to be.

Big spoiler:

Entering the realm of Fallout 4

Last updated on September 24th, 2019 at 11:21 pm

I’m playing Fallout 4 since June 2019, at the beginning on my 9 year old computer, and later on my new computer which I bought at the end of July. In the middle of August, I got sciatica, so that I couldn’t play for some weeks. The pain isn’t gone entirely. I stopped doing my practices as I catched a serious cold this month. I’m feeling reasonably well again now and will continue my practices this weekend.

Regarding the game, I’m siding with the Institute and realized after reading too much … Read more

Selene’s Shadow Realm uses SSL now!

SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer and establishes encrypted connections (https protocol) between the server of my site and your browser. The padlock symbol on the left site of your address bar shows you that the connection is safe.

After I bought the SSL option, I needed to adjust some links which I missed and deactivate a plugin that interfered with the https protocol. The developer tools of the browser where quite helpful to find the mixed content that still uses the unencrypted http protocol.

Using the https protocol is not only secure but can also have a positive effect … Read more

Security breach in “WP GDPR Compliance” opens doors for hackers

If you are a WordPress user as well and use an older version of the plugin, then there is a high risk that your site will be hacked. I experienced this myself and I write this little article to warn you. Please update “WP GDPR Compliance” to the recent version (as a site note: the same applies to WooCommerce).

But if your site has already been hacked because of this security breach:

  1. Go to your WordPress database via PhpMyAdmin (or similar)
  2. Click on the name of the database to load all tables
  3. Choose wp_users
  4. Look for the user entry

I’m still alive

Last updated on February 24th, 2023 at 02:36 am

Real life always gets me. I’ve got a new apprenticeship (Edit: I confused internship with apprenticeship; I meant internship) at a little publishing house which is really nice. If I have enough motivation for my private projects, it would put the cherry on the cake. But some “personal difficulties” let the flow dry in the last couple of months. We all have crosses to bear.

But I know when I have enough breaks from the private projects, I have enough energy to continue the work on them until they are done. … Read more

The Abyss Demon project in the course of years (2009 – 2018)

Last updated on October 19th, 2019 at 10:47 am

aka “The many faces of Azareth”

Azareth was the first Abyss Demon character and his face has changed a lot during the development process of my Abyss Demon mod.

2009

In November 2009, it began with the idea of making a race out of World of Warcraft’s Illidan; a race with big horns, wings and greenish tattoos. The horns were really large at first and the black wings a placeholder. Shortly after that the horns got smaller and the wings a new shape with a color matching the body.
